In The Eyes of God I wonder if you could visibly see, God's eye in the sky, looking down on thee; Would that change your behavior, the way that you speak, The way that you treat, the mild and meek: Would you choose your words wisely, to avoid causing pain, Would you hold your head high, or drop it in shame; Would you try a little harder not to gossip or curse, Would you step to the side, letting others go first; Could you open your doors to God's eye in the sky, Could you open your heart,showing all that's inside; Could you take God along, where ever you go, Could you turn on your favorite T.V. show: If we all could just visibly see God's eye, I wonder just how much harder we'd try; To live the right way, to do the right thing, I wonder how much we would have to change: copyright: Bobby Smith Nov. 9, 2003 |
