The rock was painted by Ray "Bubba" Sorensen II.
It's located on HWY 25, about 12 miles North of Greenfield, Iowa, or 1.5
miles South of I-80(exit 86) The property where the rock sets is owned        by Schildberg Quarry. Ray has painted the rock each year for
Memorial Day. You can read more about this talented artist on his web       site:  http://bubbazartwork.com/patriotic_rock.html (link bottom of page)
Just one mans way of showing pride and support for the men and women
who fight and die for our freedom, and for our great nation. These photos
were used with the artist's permission.
                                                Thanks Bubba!!

"The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to
pay tribute to our fallen comrades. We are part of the only Marine
Infantry Battalion left in Iraq. The one way we could think of doing
that is by taking a picture of Baker Company, saying the way we
feel. It would be awesome, if you could find a way to share this with
our fellow countrmen. WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN and are
proud to serve our country."
